Paul G. Marin Sr. is the Founder, CEO & President of Marín de La Isla Verde™, LLC., as well as, the developer of all their patented recipes. He has over 30 years in marketing, advertising, design and sales, as well as, a background in cooking. At an early age, he was taught how to cook by his father, Gonzalo Marín, a native of Puerto Rico and long time chef for several popular restaurants in New York City. As time went on, Paul perfected his cooking ability and with all the other knowledge he had acquired, it provided him with incredible insight that reinforced the idea to start a business from scratch.
Paul is a second cousin to Luis Muñoz Marín, long-time Governor of Puerto Rico between the years of 1949 & 1965. Luis, was a Puerto Rican poet, journalist, and politician. He was regarded as the "father of modern Puerto Rico," and was the first democratically elected Governor of Puerto Rico.
As stated before, Paul has a background in marketing, advertising, design and sales. He was the Senior Art Director for a major lighting manufacturer, the Art & Marketing Director for Atriad Print Design (A Tri-State Advertising Agency), and the Assistant Art Director for Sono Graphics, all located in the Bronx, NY. He is also responsible for the corporate logos, packaging & website designs, copy and tag lines, as well as, TV commercial concepts for the company.
